Hello Mate
Yes they did.So they`ve been bombing targets of mosebierbaum.Just after they`ve dropped the bombs they`ve been hit by AA fire.William K Sutton radioed his leader that they`re leaving the formation because of the heavy damage of their plane. After 30 min.of flight they`ve reached the Lake Balaton where they were attacked by fighters.American reports said Focke-Wulf 190s,but Hungarian reports were saying that a group of Me-109s,led by First Lieutenant Mathe of the Fighter Group 101 "Puma" shot it down.they saw the plane land 17km south of Sagvar. Before the landing Sergeant Corasi(radio operator),Peth/Sadowski/Wes(sergeants,all gunners)and Thomas W.Cooney(photographer)jumped out and indeed became P.O.W.s!
First Lieutenant Sutton belly-landed the plane,without a problem 1,5km North-West of Kurd
