Hey,

I was wondering what road the Soviets took to advance to the Latvian city of Ogre.It would be helpful for me to also know the places of the battles and units involved from both sides in the area of Ogre and the municipalities of Ogre and Ikskile. Im particularly interested in the cities of Ikskile, Tinuzi and Turkalne. I'll include a picture to help you guys locate them.

Thanks! :)

It's all documented at https://pamyat-naroda.ru.
Just follow Soviet 10th Guards Army (10 гв. А) in the first half of October 1944.

As far as I can see on maps, Soviets came directly from the East! Not a surprise...

Hey! Thanks for the info.

Do you know what German units were defending the city and where their positions around the city are? If you could find some information about the village of Turkalne that would be great!

Cheers :)

Karlis.
