Hi,
I'm tying to figure if any Marder II (should be 76.2 (r) ones if any) was present at the second battle of kharkov (may 1942)
Some sources claims Marder production started on June. Other sources stated there were 14 Marders on 60th Motorized Divisions, 6 at PzJ.bn.525 and 12 at PzJ.bn.670 (for example Robert Forczyk) but in the book of William Russ's Operation Fridericus (he used NARA microlfims) his very detailed reports on weapons of independent PzJ.Bns and 60th Motorized Division showed not a single one.
Can anyone help me?

Search the vehicles section of the Forum.
I think nothing changed since last similar question in 2013.
So unless someone is going to contradict with recent finding, for May 1942 answer is NO.

Re: Marders at Kharkov May 1942
Hi All,
Like Greg said, the answer is no.
From the information I had gathered from the war diaries, reports, etc, from the records of the 1st Panzer Army and 6th Army said that the Marders reached their intended units the first week of June 1942 or soon thereafter.
best regards, Bill
