Sangro Fighting, Italy November 1943

Hello,

Could any forum members recommend good accounts of the fighting along the Sangro (the winter/ Bernhardt line) in mid to late November 1943? Both British and German accounts would be welcome. I already have the war diaries of 4th Armoured Brigade and 38th Infantry Brigade as well as Doherty's book on Eighth Army in Italy. Any help appreciated.

Cheers.

This might help:

Unfortunately, the book that covers the Sangro battles (Italy Vol I: Sangro to Cassino) does not offer the relevant chapters online.
What I would recommend is looking at the individual battalion documents for accounts of the battle.

Kingfish - Thanks! That's great. The site is a really good resource. Also, the chapter headings can be opened up with the '+' so those chapters from the Official History are there. Much appreciated.

Cheers
