You've got mail.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

I am looking for detail of units/equipement sent in this convoy:

25 June 1940
The first escorted Italian convoy departed Naples for Tripoli with troopships ESPERIA (11,398grt) and VICTORIA (13,098grt) escorted by armed merchant cruiser RAMB II and torpedo boats ORSA and PROCIONE.

Cargo: 937(others say 437) uomini(men) e 2.775 tonnellate di materiali. (tons of materials)

How about the convoy that arrived in Tripoli on 17th September 1941?
I don't have a number, but am interested in the type of German guns it unloaded.
Can anyone help?

One question : do these convoys also include the convoys starting from Crete?

I only made until end December 1940 so no.

Edit. I had mistakenly said December 1941.

I don't think there was an arrival that day. 45th Squadron left Naples on 17 September, it lost Col di Lana, and arrived on 19 September. 44th Squadron left Naples on 10 September, it lost Caffaro and Nicolo Odero to air attacks, and arrived on 13 September.

Take a pick :)

That's brilliant thank you.

How would you feel if I kept these convoy questions coming for a while?

It's a fair bit of work.

I'll just ask here every now and then. I don't need to know in a hurry, and I don't want to become a nuisance.

Thanks very much.

Unless of course you can direct me to a source where I can look it all up myself, at my leisure, and without disturbing you at all?
