Maps Tobruk - Egyptian Border 1941

#1

Post by ClintHardware » 04 Apr 2014, 10:18

Hi All

I am trying to pin point a number of places in the border area (Habata, Alam Battuma, Ghot Ogrein, Hamra, "Italian Camp Point 207" ) and have not yet found them with any certainty.

Does anyone have photos of a map or maps I could make use of that might show these places.

Also I am keen to add photos to the book I am finishing and would happily give credit and pay for the use of any that you might want to let me use.

Hello.

Have you seen these?

They're from 1954 but there shouldn't be much difference in the desert areas.

regards,

-Nuno

Hi Nmao

Excellent. I have found quite a few of the place name queries and have also moved some of those I already had plotted on maps I am making.

Still not sure about Hamra or Habata or "Italian Camp at Pt. 207" (seems to be near Capuzzo). I have a Point 207 but it seems too far south-east to be the one.

Many Thanks

Clint
