Thanks, that fits quite well then (bar for the D.A.K. WD, which I think we can ignore then). Unfortunately I have not yet found a rank list in PR8, and in the combat report he only gets referred to as CO of the centre company.

PR5 wouldn't have had write-offs because they no longer had tanks, really. Well okay, I am exaggerating, their Panzerlage oscillates around 5/4/1 operational in the period. :)
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
