Hi All

I found this in the War Diary of the 1st R.N.F. and thought you might find it of interest. It is not controversial but it is informative and underlines things we have probably all read over the years. Hope you find it of interest.

That's a really interesting account, and shows very well how both sides played the game. It is also noteworthy how clinical the description is of what must have been a very chaotic and deadly environment.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
