Man in the middle is colonel Rafael Boban, and the boy on tank is Suljo Efendic. His village on Romanija mountain was attacked by Chetniks, his parents were killed and his house was burned down. Rafael Boban adopted him and he became the youngest member of Black Legion.

Here is another photo of colonel Boban and Black Legion soldiers, taken in Kupres (source: http://www.crnalegija.com). Suljo Efendic is on left, and man with map (or newspaper?) is probably colonel Simic.

Thanks for the background story. Do you have any info on Suljo's fate?

Sorry, no.

Here is one more photo from the same source: colonel Franjo Sudar (left), battalion commander in Black Legion. I don't know who is guy on right. By the way, nickname of colonel Sudar was "Osman" (frequent Muslim name in Bosnia). Photo was taken in Kupres in 1942.

I`ll try to find pictures of italians(I got some old communist books somewhere in the house, need to find them).
Croat soldiers on the picture you mention wear domobran uniforms, could they be from some unit send to Germany for training-and later incorporated in ID369,373 or 392?

I have seen one picture of disarmed italian soldiers on Hvar, from N.Anić book about 8 corps, I `ll post it soon.
BTW picture of the padobranska bojna is great, could it be that submachine gun that soldier in front holds is model MP 38(produced for the ss only?)

It isn't a German MP38 ("Smajser"),and it almost looks like Italian "Beretta" Mod.1938,except the clip and the barrel. Being hardly an expert on small-arms,we'll just have to wait for the third party.

Thanks for the pic,

Zivio

Germans from 118 jäger division (750 reg.),captured during partisan attack on Korčula island, waiting to be transfered on prison camp on Biševo island(Komiža, Vis island, end april 1944). From "Povijest osmog korpusa narodnoslobodilačke vojske Hrvatske" by N.Anić:

Also, submachine gun from the picture with padobranska bojna is MP35,not MP38.
