after seven days without response, the first hint ...

it´s in a forest ... the fight in the ...-forest, a decisive part of a famous battle, was celebrated as an epic of Prussian courage ...

This memorial, dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the 8th Jäger Battalion, is in the Svíb forest, place of the decisive fight during the battle of Königgrätz, in the Austro-Prussian War of 1866.

No, Sir ! This is a picture of the (first) battle of Copenhagen in 1801 (!), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Copenhagen

with Horatio Nelson (still alive) as second in command to Adm Hyde Parker ...

This was the occasion where he, on the report of a return command by Parker, said to his Flag Captain "I have only one eye - I have the right to be blind sometimes" - and continued and won the battle.
