I saw this grungy monstrousity of a film known as "Tank Girl" and can honestly say the only thing I enjoyed was the Bundeswehr uniforms.
But I am curious, were the closed collar tunics an actual uniform piece or is it just altered for the film? I thought this may be the case initially but they have a much wider collar to go with it and it looks fairly unaltered.
The uniform in question is on the man on the left. Open collar BW tunics are used as well. I cant find many photos of the film and I can't find any closed collar BW uniforms either, though I'd presume they're a relic from the 1960s if they exist.

Re: Close Collar BW tunics
The BW never had any closed collar tunics and the tunics on the photographs also do not have collar tabs, they are pure fiction. Same applies for the armbands for the men on the right. Tunics are always worn with a shirt and a tie and the belt over the tunic is only allowed with laced boots ("Großer Dienstanzug") .Angus1235 wrote:I cant find many photos of the film and I can't find any closed collar BW uniforms either, though I'd presume they're a relic from the 1960s if they exist.

Re: Close Collar BW tunics
I thought this might be the case. Movie definitely uses BW tunics but I wasn't sure if the closed colars were legitimate or just a modification, because if it was legitimate, I'd hunt to the ends of the earth to acquire one.
