Gentlemen,
Their first war was in Vietnam. Can you think of any Vietnam veterans that were awarded the Silver Star or higher during Operation Just Cause,Operation Desert Storm,etc. DSM and Legion of Merit doesn't count. Distinguished Flying Cross of the United States I can take. I can only remember that Admiral Eric T. Olsen of the US Navy,being a Vietnam veteran,was awarded the Silver Star in 1993 during "Operation Restore Hope." He fought in at least three more conflicts besides the Vietnam War.

Chief Warrant Officer 4th Class Raymond A. Frank was a helicopter door gunner during the Vietnam War and was a helicopter pilot of Task Force Ranger in Somalia in 1993. He was awarded the Silver Star for bravery after he was KIA in Mogadishu,Somalia. This information came from the "Army Aviation Hall Of Fame".
