Bill.
I found this description of your "camper trailer" from a Russian site:
The founder of such vehicles - the German company Dethleffs, which in the early 30s of the last century created a camper trailer that served as housing lumberjacks, construction workers, and later the military.
Which searh term did you use, remember?
With best, J-P

Back to boozing!
If I've interpreted my source correctly, there were only four and later three persons in a Division who could authorize the liquer purchasing.
The procedure I'm searching doesn't include alcohol that was bought on leave, only on duty.

Hi all.
I found that by searching "kioski", "koppi" and then "pankki". Bingo! There it was.

It was a shame, I was too busy to post the answer...

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Thank You Kuuskajaskari!!
I have been trying to use the SA-KUVA site for quite some time now and I can never get it to work properly for me.
As a result, I am doing it "the hard way". I can call up the site in a format that shows me a panel of 15 photos in lots of 200.
The series starts at #1 and now lists about 130,000 photos as being available.
My field of interest in "Things Finnish" is basically soft skin vehicles used in your three wars. I found in using the proper Finnish
words in the search field two problems, at least at my end.
Firstly, I could get one image on the screen out of 1 or 200 that matched that description and I could not figure out how to move on
from the first image to the next.
The second problem only became known to me when I started using the panel method outlined above. In hundreds of photos that
show cars, trucks etc. the photo description did not mention anything about a car or a truck. So, it would never appear in a search
by name. Often they appear in a photo of a place or an event or together with a person or some such and that is all that is in the
caption or description of the photo. So, I would miss all those photos.
In any case, I am now at image 8,400 and I try to go through at least one or two groups of 200 every few days.
Using this method, I now have several hundred images stored in my Dropbox account and when I feel ready,
I will start posting these images here on AHF. In the interest of time and space, I have not been saving the photo
numbers but I may start doing so from now on.
I will also email Dethleffs, they are still in business, to see if they maintain some sort of photo archive that may give us some more
pankki photos or even other versions supplied to the German forces.
Merry Christmas

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Thanks for a good effort Juha.
I shoud've thought twice before I posted my question! I didn't think of order of hints etc. and I did it sober, which is even more embarrasing.
AFAIK the persons to authorize liquer purchases were COs of Divisions and Regiments, but there were more to it, obviously.

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
Well I give another hint before I explain the system...
How come the transport officer of JR 4 ended up in Äänislinna - Petrozavosk with over 1 million Finnish marks with him on 17th June 1944? And why he first had to go to the place of which I sent pictures before?
Sadly, because of the date, after doing this he had to rush back to his regiment without booze, but with something else than cash to give to the CO JR 4.

Okey lets simplify my question.
I ask only what is the building of my previous photos?

Re: The official AHF Winter & Continuation War quiz thread
The building was used by The Bank of Finland in Äänislinna. Our officer changed his cash to a bank check, but didn't dare to pick up the liquer delivery from local Alko, because he was afraid that he couldn't get the train back to Syväri front.
Troop transports from East Karelia to Karelian Isthmus were on the progress.
The quiz is now open for next volunteer!
