Re: Finnish Artillery
According to https://translate.google.com/translate? ... rev=search Tender / Führerboot "Hai" (ex-Flottenbegleiter F 3) which would make it 10,5-cm SK in MPL C 32.
Re: Finnish Artillery
Thank you very much for the identification of the ship...peeved
About the gun....I am not sure. I have never seen an 10.5cm SK L/45 C 32 in MPL C32 with this type of shield.....

Re: Finnish Artillery
Could it be the old shield type "Hai" had as F 3 for its 10,5-cm Sk L/45 C 32 in 8,8-cm MPL C 30 guns recycled?

Re: Finnish Artillery
F3 was the only one to be equipped with 105mm SK L/45 C/32 in 8,8cm single mount MPL C/30, but F2 also carried this gun during her career. Contrary to the normal C/32 mounts, the 8,8cm MPL C/30 was a DP mount, but didn't seem to satisfy, the normal C/32 mounts remained the main gun of choice.
http://shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3898F3 returned to the shipyards in October of 1938 and underwent a refit as fleet tender until April 1st, 1940. Renamed Hai (Shark) (originally planned name: Königin Luise), she had a more massive superstructure and the second mast had been reinforced with two additional posts. Later in the war, the second 105mm cannon was replaced by a new 37mm twin, two additional 20mm singles on elevated positions were added as well. After her refit, Hai was assigned to mine warfare units in the Baltic Sea and also participated in escort missions.

Re: Finnish Artillery
Vladalex, You have identified this gun in Artillery section of this forum as an 10.5cm Ubts.u.Tbts.Flak K. C/16 in 10.5cm M.P.L.C/16 (Krupp) but here you said that F3 was armed with 10,5 cm SK C/32 in 8,8cm MPL C/30 from April 1940...Vladalex wrote

According to photo caption the image was taken in Nov.1942
I do not understand this.... 10.5cm Ubts.u.Tbts.Flak K. C/16 or 10.5cm SK C/32 ???

Re: Finnish Artillery
Hi Sturm78!
The guns are like you said 102/60:s and ships are gunboat Uusimaa and auxiliary gunboat Viena.
The 102/60 gun onboard Viena must be some temporary arrangement. because Viena like her sistership Aunus were later equipped with russian 130/50 guns (russian name B-13-P-S) captured 1941 in Hanko.

Re: Finnish Artillery
I think you were correct there, for instance judging by the wheel arrangement.Sturm78 wrote:Any idea about the gun posted on 29 Aug 2015 ?
