No Finnish submarines were lost during the Winter, Continuation or Lapland War. III/1.RPr spotted two Soviet motor torpedo boats at (Porkkala-)Kallbådan lighthouse on 16.8. at 22.09 (10.09 p.m) Finnish time. Soviet aerocrafts and the boats attacked the lighthouse with guns and two torpedoes. The second boat ran into the rocks but got away later.

Finns noticed only a single boat that attacked the same lighthouse at 22.50 (10.50 p.m.) with guns and a torpedo.

Minelayers Riilahti and Ruotsinsalmi along with two motor boats were c. 2½ nm east of Tiiskeri when four Soviet motor torpedo boats attacked with torpedoes at 16.40 (4.40 p.m.). Boats released smoke screen on the scene at 16.46 (4.46 p.m.) and left towards Suursaari at 16.51 (4.51 p.m.). Riilahti used 15x75mm + 54x20mm and Ruotsinsalmi 22x75mm + 40x20mm ammunition during the battle.

As a source I used war diary of the Merivoimien Esikunta (SPK 18708) with cross-references to corresponding unit diaries.

May be you even can tell me, what artillery/machineguns was on lighthouse? And, if this possible, on 9.9.41 - did finns see torpedoes? If so, how far away they goes? May be beneath ships or something?

The diary of III/1.RPr (SPK 21483) speaks of "automatic firearms" (konetuliaseet) and artillery fire from the fortresses (linnakkeet). Kallbåda had at least one 20 ItK/39 (Madsen) which fired the aerocrafts and probably also the boats. Diary of Mäkiluoto fortress mention that 152/45 (Canet) from Pihlajasaari and Träskö participated the battle.

The Soviet boats closed in in two formations, another attacked from south and the other from north. A boat from the N group fired a torpedo, no clue were it went.

According to the 1.RPr report at the Naval HQ diary http://digi.narc.fi/digi/fullpic.ka?kui ... 400&sy=400
2209 hours two aircrafts strafed the Porkkala-Kallbåda lighthouse. Right after that two MTBs' attacked with fierce mg fire and two torpedoes. Apparently the other MTB run aground near the lighthouse and Mäkiluoto batteries opening fire against the MTBs'. During the aerial attack there was defensive fire from Mäkiluoto and rifle and mg fire from the lighthouse against the MTB stuck aground.
Because the poor visibility, the harrasing fire was directed from the Porkkala-Kallbåda. The last shells were seen to hit the rocks where the MTB had been stuck, but at the light of the exposions it was discovered that the MTBs' had left the scene

Pihlajasaari is probably Rönnskär, which is the name used nowadays.
