Good work indeed, but unfortunately tunic and hat seem to be wrong colour - should be grey instead of light green.

Hi,

I think that the spirit of the figurine is excellent and the face is very good (allthough the painting may be a bit too soft to bring the details out). The pose is unfortunatelly a bit too stiff to my liking. Especially the hands at the elbow are perhaps a bit unnatural without being directly wrong anatomically. The legs on the other hand, even if slightly stiff too, are very good. But this is only good because Mannerheim had broken his knee and it was stiff in reality as well. Painting may be ok because the lights often distort the colours quite a lot in photos. But all in all goog work!

Regards,

Jari

PS. Maxim,

Perhaps you would like to bring him on show here on 20.11.2010:

http://nordic-challenge.net/

Only 3 hours with a train if you live in St. Peterburg.

Regards,

Jari
