Our Ladoga expert Barseek knows more about the issue, and perhaps can help us here with more precise information?

Well, how you Juha can call me "expert" when you must remember I asked your help in E-32 case five years ago ?

Actually the case was quite simple. 25.8.42 E-32's crew received an order to follow the route Lahdenpohja (Rauhala) - Sortanlahti. Route distance was about 80 km, time estimation was about 7 hours. Boat crew of two men had light machine gun and hand grenades as well as flare gun and smoke buoy onboard. Soon after passing by island Verkkosaari that was somewhere in the middle of the route, they were taken by surprise from behind by three Soviet patrol boats (МО-206, МО-213 and МО-215). Patrol boats arrived to Verkkosaari a night before and stayed there in ambush. After series of machine gun shots from MO, E-32 crew surrended. In one of Soviet accounts they wrote that MO gunner disabled E-32 engine by mg fire thus stopping the boat. E-32 was towed to Novaja Ladoga and her crew members were sent to POW camps coming back home in 1944.

I recently made two Russian and Finnish accounts compillations for Russian reading public about capture of E-32 and attack on MAS-529 near Verkkosaari.
I guess they look readable when google-translated.

Well, if I remember correctly my help was of quite modest type compared to your reseach about the issue :)
