Light armored cover M/40 for 7,62 mm "Maxim" machine gun (likely). Weight about 5 t, stuff - 2 men. Manufactured by Karhulan konepaja or Wärtsilä.
Thanks for your help, Swing...I suppose that you refer to the SA-Kuva image 57056 (the first image of my post of 09 Apr 2015), no ??
I think the other image of that post shows a different cupola, with a openings more narrow ( for observation ?? )

Here another image from SA-kuva archive (81865) of a Light armored cover M/40, although with 5 holes in each nerve instead of 3. It also seems a little higher than the cupola of my previous post... :?

You are right, №57056 is a photo of M/40 (3 holes in each nerve). But image №81865 is a photo of heavy M/41 cover (5 holes), also for machine gun (weight about 11 t). №57051 is a photo of heavy M/41 observation cover (two narrow observation slits).

M/40 or M/41 light observation cover. For more precise identification is necessary to know the cover dimensions (there are little differences between these cowers).

Therefore, there were light M/41 and heavy M/41 observation covers, no ?? :?

Here, another image from SA-Kuva archive (89259). I think it is imposible identify the exact model of this observation cupola...

Might be a SPH/37 (depth charge thrower mod 37) on board escort vessel Tursas

Thank you very much for your help, Juha

I suppose that this depth charge thrower mod 37 throwed SP/31 finnish depth charges, isn`t it ?

Yes, 95079 image from SA-Kuva archive.

On the other hand, two images of loud speakers from SA-Kuva archive (79698-65568)

Hi all,

Any idea about these two SA-Kuva images (102653-84916):

Image 1: I'm not sure but I think they are smoke canisters for smoke mortars
Image 2: I'm not sure but appear to be improvised hand grenades manufactured with a mortar and an artillery shell ... 8O

The SPH/37 was swedish and it in Finland it could throw also swedish SP/37 depth charges.
