Hi!
I found out that a soviet POW was housed / working on one of my relatives farm in the village of Juorkuna in Finland during the continuation war. She does not remember the year or the name of this POW. But remembers that there was at least one on this farm.
Does somebody know if there is any documentation available about this. Would be great to find out more about this.

POW working on a farm in Finland? Find out who he was?
Re: POW working on a farm in Finland? Find out who he was?
There were "loan papers" made for each POW that were "loaned" to work in a farm. If you know the name of the farm, the municipality and the owners of the farm, you should be able to find the name of the POW and the documents from the National Archive of Finland and/or from the archives of the particular municipality.OJJE wrote: Does somebody know if there is any documentation available about this. The most comprehensive archives were created by the Finnish Red Cross, the municipal labour boards (fi: työvoimalautakunta) and the Finnish White Guard. The village of Juorkuna was part of the municipality of Utajärvi.
