Finnish Tempo Vidal G200
Finnish Tempo Vidal G200
Hi,
It seems Finnish Army used very numerous all-terrain vehicles. Though - besides of a few Steyr 1500As being a gift from Germany - the one actually used is unique within it's own class. A number of two-engined Tempo-Vidal G200s was used as a staff car and source of transportation for common soldiers too. I don't know the exact number of them within SA, but It looks both fourseaters and sixseaters were used.
Sixseater, SAK 173144, reg unknown, note unique camo.

Fourseater, SAK 110441, reg SA15902

Could anyone bring a little light on G200 in Finnish service please?

There was an article on the Tempo Vidal in Finnish service in the military magazine Suomen Sotilas, issue 4, 2012.
FWIIW, it is all in Finnish, and the article doesnt seem to be available online.

Wow, an impressing list.korup wrote:Just forgot,

Re: Finnish Tempo Vidal G200
Okay, so there was round a hundred of TVGs on Finnish Army's inventory in total. Watching the SA-Kuva resources I've found out majority was painted in single camo color (some sort of green I guess), and just few carried some extra camo pattern presumably applied on green. Any ideas what colors were used in latter case? What were the numbers of vehicles carrying such pattern? What are those big white "eights" on the bumpers shown on second photo in my top post here? Does anybody have scale plans (or just views) of the Tempo Vidal G200 and can share with me? I would like to build a scratch model 1/72 but can't find anything except of large number of detailed photos. I would appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Pawel

Another thought, Pawel.
Someone may have purchased this model from Plus Models of CZ and the instructions may contain the drawings you need.
If so, they may share the drawings with you.

Thank you very much Mangrove, it's absolutely good enough to begin. I have a lot of detailed photos I can use together with the manual you have kindly linked.

Re: Finnish Tempo Vidal G200
I think the numbers on Tempos' fenders are related to units of Panssaridivisioona.
Any ideas?

Yes, Vidals used by Ps.D (Armoured Division) had these white fender numbers as well as letters on windscreens.
