Greetings.

I am looking for information or bibliography about the Battle of Petroskoi/Petrozavodsk and the prisoners taken there by Finnish troops. It would be great if the bibliography were in English.

Thank you for your help.

Don' t think there really was a Battle of Petroskoi. The Soviets had, largely, retreated out of town before it fell. Don't think there's any books in Finnish about the battle, as there wasn't really one, and can pretty much guarantee there wont be any in English.

P.S. During the war the city was called Äänislinna. Most sources in English, would probably use the name Petroskoi, but if they mention Äänislinna they are talking about Petroskoi.

Thank you for the information. I thought they fought there. Is there any general book on the Karelia campaign of 1941?
