What was the rank of the highest-ranking Finn(s) to become POW? And give (at least) one name.

Correct. Majuri Antti Olavi Korhonen, commander of the Rajajääkäripataljoona 4, was taken POW on 6 July 1944 at Tulemajoki and returned to Finland on 25 December 1944. He became general in the Finnish Defense Forces after the war.

I know at least one other major. Lääkintämajuri Carl-Johan Johansson from E/RvPr was taken POW on 15 June 1944 at Vammeljärvi and returned to Finland on 22 November 1944. In 1986, on the initiative of former POWs, Johansson was decorated for his merits in caring the health of Finnish POWs in the camp he was located in.

Pilotofficer lieutenant Harmaja and the word soundbarrier were once topic of the news in the late 30ies.

How is this possible because lieutenant Harmaja died early in the Winter War flying a Fokker D XXI long before finns had jets ?

Tapani Harmaja acchieved the speed of about 830km/h (over 900km/h at speedometer) during a vertical dive (14th Nov-39 ?) while testing a Fiat G50 fighter.
IIRC this was both Finnish and Italian speed record. Quite near the speed of sound.

Right !

Fiat G-50 designer engineer Gabrielli estimated that Tapani Harmaja had reached 870 km/h in which speed the airflow on Fiat's upper wingsurface indeed possibly did reach the speed of sound.
Harmaja escaped death and plane was like bumber car...total write off.

Over to mr. Tompuri !

Sorry, but no.
At the place in pic something happened, that maybe affected to an outcome of a battle not very far away (from the place in pic).

Correct Esa!

Rautakorpi it is.
Pic from local armshistorical society:

...and it's (in)famous for the events during the battle of Viipuri/Vyborg 1944 when the depot personel refused to give ammo (during the fighting) out of the depot without correct papers.
