Okay, a hint:
This unit was named after it's commander, a navy lieutnant commander (kapteeniluutnantti in finnish), who later served as a flottilla leader of VMV-boats, retired navy as commodore and became later a head of Finnish Maritime Administration.

Sorry, I thought that this was easy...

Pekka

Hi Juha!

Yes, Detachment Jääsalo is correct answer.
I think this "homemade" little unit had some importance, because it performed many tasks and it could free at least some "proper" warships to do more important jobs?'
Your turn Juha!

A mortar round flew on it?

Sorry, but no.
The case was sort of self-inflicted.

Hmmm... if you would just named the Stielgranate 41 as the reason for the accident, I would have accepted your answer, but as AFAIK the exact reason for it remains unknown... even your answer sounds very logical...so... based on the info I have at the moment, I pass the priviledge of composing the next question to Alexander.

The quiz photo and some other about the Siipimiina can be viewed at SA-photos # 111634-111636

I think that this badge means Railway AA troops. Rautatie ItKKJ and Ilmatorjuntajuna.

Well done!

If others don't mind, I think peeved should be next.
