After going through a lot of Google pages of rubbish....the terms "U-kommando" and "Uberfall-kommando" seem to have passed into German punk culture!...I came across THIS -

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=pOWt ... 22&f=false

Now - looking at the Wiki entry for the Lodz Ghetto, I can't help noticing that the there were significant periods of "industrial" unrest and strikes affecting the multiplicity of small workshops working for the Germans inside the ghetto...
Twenty years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs....
Lord, please keep Kevin Bacon alive...
