aceaze -- Wilhelm Schneider may be identifiable with this fellow, whose name I have in my notes:

Schneider, Wilhelm (11.12.1907-23.1.1947)[SS-Obersturmbannfűhrer] – service, Secret State Police (Geheime Staatspolizei – Gestapo) at Strasbourg {put on trial 17 Jun 1946 by a British military tribunal at Wuppertal on charges of complicity in the 1944 murders of British members of the 2nd Special Air Services Regiment, parachuted into the Vosges mountains in France and subsequently captured and held as POWs (LT 18 Jun 1946:3c) and participation in the execution of 60 captured British airmen (NYT 12 Jul 1946:3:3; LT 12 Jul 1946:3c); convicted and sentenced to death by hanging 11 Jul 1946; executed at Hameln 23 Jan 1947 ("Hameln 1945-49," http://home.c2i.net/sudeten/Seite_1/194 ... 45-49.html ).}

Unfortunately the German Hameln site link no longer works, but you may be able to reconstruct it with the "Wayback machine" engine at http://www.archive.org/index.php . The NYT and LT references are to newspaper articles in the New York Times and London Times (date of publication: page: column).

A British military court in Hamburg sentenced the former SA man Friedrich Dikty to death because he had shot after an aerial attack in May 1944 an eastern worker.

danyb. I note Erich Willinski's death sentence was commuted to 20 yrs detention but can you (or anyone reading this) tell me who he was and what he did? I have come across a reference to a person by that name in a letter from a Jewish woman in Prague in 1940, writing of him as if he were a friend. There could, of course, be more than one Erich Willinski, but I wonder if there is some sort of link.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
