I have Karl Heinrich Schaefer as tried in Recklinghausen 12 - 14 November 1946
Sentenced to 15 years for involvement in the killing of 3 Canadian prisoners of war at Opladen, Germany in March 1945
No info at all on Wandke I'm afraid. Early days of my research I didn't note details of those acquitted

Franz Xaver Vetter: born. 22.09.1920. in Eiterberg

I do not have a note of their birth and places of birth but Zimmermann is Karl Anton NOT Erich.

Hans Werner Wandke was Lieutnant of 156.Panzergrenadier-Regiment.
He was charged for a possible war crime in that he "at Elst, Holland, on 3rd of October 1944, while an officer of the German Armed Forces, having held up his hand in token of surrender, in violation of the laws and usages of war, fired on and wounded Major D.I.M. Robbins, 4th Wiltshire Regt."
Wandke was not found guilty on 17th of october 1945 in Wuppertal.

Ferdinand Grosse had been a Kapo at Stocken and Ahlem Arbeitslagers (Hannover area) and he was convicted (British Military Court at Braunschweig, 16-19 July 1946) of killing and ill-treating prisoners.
The file states he was sentenced to death by shooting, carried out at Wolfenbüttel, 14 Oct 1946.
