SD Posen: Rolf-Heinz Höppner date of death

Does anyone have a date of death on Rolf-Heinz Höppner (SD Posen)? Following the amnesty in Poland (1956), he returned to Germany and settled in Bad Godesberg. Höppner was contacted by a Polish journalist in the 1970s but refused to be interviewed. The trail goes cold after this.

Are you sure?
Rolf - Heinz Höppner born 24.2.1910 in Siegmar was extradited to the poles in 1947, death sentence 15.3.1949, execution 1951.

Höppner wasn't executed but he was sentenced to life in prison and released in 1957.

Höppner wurde 1947 nach Polen ausgeliefert, angeblich am 15. März 1949 zum Tode verurteilt und 1951 hingerichtet.[12] Nach anderen Angaben wurde Höppner in Posen zu lebenslanger Haft verurteilt. The Polish journalist is Krzysztof Kakolewski, who published a book, Co u pana slychac?, in the 1970s with the information about Hoeppner (and other Nazis).

According to "Extradition of nazi war criminals to Poland from four military zones" by E.Kobierska-Motas
Hoeppner was sentenced to life on 15.03.1949 in Posen and released on 18.12.1956.

I am not sure what the point is here. My first post states Hoeppner refused to be interviewed. I am asking if anyone has a date of death. I have not found a public (or otherwise) announcement.

The point in this case is that at the other end of the strip can be anybody and describe (personate) himself as the shah of Persia or as R-H. Höppner.

I can now answer my own question and since no one seemed to know the answer I thought I would post it.

Hello

I believe that Höppner was mistaken by Klee with dr Herbert Strickner, who was sentenced in the same trial and
indeed executed in 1951.
