Anna Kopka. Born 1916 in Thuringia. Conscripted in 1943. Initially she was a guard at Ravensbruck overseeing outside work detail and later worked in the "dressing room". Fled the camp in 1945 to her mothers house in Rostok. Arrested a few months later and stood trial in 1948 and sentenced to life imprisonment by a Soviet military court. Released in 1956 she returned to Rostock but shortly afterwards moved to the West. No further details available.

Thanks for the input guys,

I don't know the dates of birth but the names I gave are one or the other for sure ie Kopla or Kopka
I was tempted to follow up on Anna Kopp "Kopka" [* 24.05.1904] /KL Stutthof/ but am sure "stevewebster" has the correct info as it ties in with the 1948 Berlin trial I have been researching.
The other 2 women were in the same trial, Ries receiving a Life sentence and Lübes or Lüpes 25 years imprisonment.

The excellent website http://ss-aufseherin.blog.pl/ which has hundreds of names, does not have so many of those sentenced in post war Soviet or DDR trials.
