Even if one does not read Polish, this expert report by Rawecki could be useful as it has many detailed maps about the buildings and explains their uses during the war, and it gives also the German names for the some of the sites:

This book is still available and is unique in the fact it is in Polish and English. The reverse side is Polish.
The Museum should have them in stock, but may not have had them on display when you visited.
In addition, Hans Citroen published a book at the end of 2011 Auschwitz - Oswiecim that does tend to cross over with Marek's book in places. Indeed, Marek assisted Hans in the research of the book.
Marek's book tackles the zone of interest in great detail including the change of boundaries over the years along with the impact on the residents of the town. So I am sure you will find this of huge interest.
Thirdly, if you can get 'Preserving for the future', a book only available from the museum from 2003, this has some interesting material on the subject.

I guess that they own just an exemmple at their library. Hence they don´t publish this book they don´t sell it. From my personaly experience I can assurey that the staff there is very helpfull if they can. Also please note that the bookshop at the Auschwitz Memorial & Museum is not owned by them but from a partner in Krakow:

The images “Auschwitz-Birkenau Zone” are quiet rare. There are milions of pictures of the "Museum" but not from just outside this perimeter.
His images regarding the subject of this thread are here :

Or go to his main page, and click (on the right side) the tag: Auschwitz Zone
