Trying to identify the men convicted in the Emslandlager Trial. Any biographical information would be helpful.
Place and Date of Trial: Oldenburg 22 March 1947

NADLER. Karl sentenced to death and later executed for crimes at KL Esterwegen
SCHÄFER death sentence
HARTWICH 15 yrs
STUDENT 15 yrs
WENDT 5 yrs
KARALUS 3 yrs

Karl Nadler 1st Dec 1942 - May 1943 Bochum prison in legal administration. Arrived Esterwegen 28th May 1943.Ran the sick bay in South camp.charged with total disregard for patients, ill treating patients and being responsible for many deaths.Refused to allow Belgian Drs to treat patients.executed Wolfenbuttel 7th July 1947 at 11.35 am.

Friedrich Willy Schaeffer Oberwachtmeister Esterwegen.Detailed spring 1941 to look after convey of prisoners taken to the brick works at Bochum. Then warden Bochum prison till Esterwegen in 1943.He set up the sick bay before Nadler arrived.He beat prisoners.His sentence was commuted to imprisonment
