German POW camps in French Algeria

#1

Post by mariya90 » 20 Jan 2017, 00:05

So I posted this thread on a different board, but since I'm new here and just starting to get my way around, I think I found the right board to make the post.

I recently purchased a book on the life of Rommel and on the inside of the book I saw that someone wrote a 2 page letter on the first two pages. The person who wrote it was a German soldier who had been part of Luftwaffe Field Divison Hermann Goering and had been sent to Africa in the begging of 1942. After the German troops surrendered he had been kept as a prisoner of war in a french Algerian camp.

I am trying to find any information on German POW camps in Algeria. Anything would be appreciated.

Thank you!
