Gentlemen,
From another forum that I picked up. "There were also small boats of the Kriegsmarine on the River/Lake Havel around Berlin. There were captured boats of the former Polish Vistula Flotilla. At Least the former Polish patrol vessel KU-30 is mentioned to have been in action on the River/Lake Havel." Not much is known about the river/lake war between the Germans and the Soviets. Do you have a picture of KU-30 under German management. I wonder how heavy armed was on that vessel. I also wondered how bitter it was on River/Lake Havel between German rivercrafts and the Soviet ones.
Sincerely,
Edward L. Hsiao

Re: Riverboats of the Kriegsmarine
I think Russians on Havela river had no riverboats?! With the KU-30 is a lot of legends, do not even know for sure if he fought in the German colors on Haveli. The only thing that is certain is that in 1939. Fought as part of the Polish fleet of river, under Wyszogród and Warsaw.

Re: Riverboats of the Kriegsmarine
Edward - could you please provide primary source for the claim about using KU-30 on the lakes around Berlin?
In the Polish sources fate of KU-30 after 1939 is generally unknown so new information would be greatly welcomed.
Thank you!
