According to Siegfried Breyer: Soviet Warship Development vol. one: 1917-1937, page 97 British left some Thornycroft boats for the Whites to use after the campaign of intervention against the Bolsheviks in 1919. One Baltic Fleet boat (Minnyy Kater No 2) was transferred to Peoples Commissariat for Heavy Industry in 1924. The fate is unknown. At least the number matches?

What about this one, any idea? Looks similar to the command ship(fuhrerschiff) Rugard, but a few minor places seem to be different. Any chance it could have been a former danish ship serving the Germans?

hi,

I think you are correct about STRASBOURG

The light cruiser is IMO Jean de Vienne.

Nobody? I think I have found the ID of the 2nd ship: she was one of a pair of submarine tenders, Isar and Lech, but hard to tell which one exactly.

HI all,

Can anyone ID this boat, "Kehl", photographed at the waterfront at Sevastopol, Crimea, following the end of the siege in July 1942.

Best regards, Dave
