Hi,

we have here this data (not yet on public site but "doing")
- 06.03.1943 11.27 Uhr Pionierfähre 3219 auf 45°14,6’N, 36°36,6’O auf dem Weg Fischsalzerei nach Norden auf Mine gelaufen und gesunken.
- 06.03.1943 PiLF 219 ESSEN, Bau-Btl. 86, bei Taman durch Mine versenkt.

This vessel was used in the Strait of Kertsch.

Fine photo.

This was not the "SF 219" shown already here : http://historisches-marinearchiv.de/pro ... eibung.php

]Hi Darius,

Thanks for the ID of Essen, very much appreciated. So this was a PIONIERFÄHRE and not a Siebelfähre?

Here is another pic from the same roll of film. Your thoughts?

Best regards, David

Jep, it´s I-O-07 and I-O-01 behind, Lahdenpohja, 14.09.1942
I-O-07 is serving as a command boat.
