KM pistol holster ID of german soldier

Postby xafu on 15 Aug 2010 04:37

I have a WWII German HSc pistol holster with a KM proofed HSc, with the following inscribed in the inner flap:

726449
Mülle(r?) rest is illegible.
Waff. Insp.

I would like to know if it is possible to identify this German soldier by the information above. I assume the numbers are his service number.

Many thanks for any advice.

Hi Daniel

I suppose there was thousands of Müller´s in the German Army - the name Müller is as common as Larsen or Jensen in Danish.

So - unless one can find and asosiate the service number to a name it would be very difficult to find this particular Müller.
