Re-use of ex RAF HSL 108 by Kriegsmarine

Postby arado196 on 19 Oct 2011 19:10

RAF Air Sea Rescue launch HSL 108 was captured in the North Sea by the Germans in July 1941. The attack on the boat was by Ar 196 and the crew were picked up by Hs 59 and taken to a port near Amsterdam, as was the launch. It was apparently repaired and re-used by the Kriegsmarine - or possibly the Luftwaffe. Does anybody have any knowledge of this? Thanks

Hi Arado,

I have a lot of information on this boat but not its ultimate fate. I also suspect who this is.

Regards,

Nick
