from the naval guns produced by Germany during WWI and WWII what would be a better array of guns for KM ships?

my interest is in German 8" gun (since it fell within cruiser limits)and what ships that could be deployed on?

it was pretty long range and effective weapon as naval gun but a secondary rationale would be the number that could be built for rail guns, it was largest caliber to feasibly be moved on tracked vehicle(s)
