KM Units in the Balkans - Admiral z.b.V. Südost - OOB April - May 1945?

Discussions on all (non-biographical) aspects of the Kriegsmarine except those dealing with the U-Boat forces.

KM Units in the Balkans - Admiral z.b.V. Südost - OOB April - May 1945?

Hi,

I need help with the list of KM units (Admiral z.b.V. Südost) in the Balkans in the last month of the war. So far I have only Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 609 (although some sources claim that it had been disbanded already in late fall of 1944).

Any help with data or with tips on sources is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

G.

In Greece, remnants of some harbor defense flotillas survived in Crete and other minor islands, as well as a Heer flotilla in Rhodes and some KJ boats.
In Yugoslavia, again, remnants of several harbor defense and landing flotillas, plus the 3rd escort flotilla.
In Danube, the Danube flotilla and possibly some Heer landing engineer battalions with engineer landing boats.

And of course, all of these combat units were supported by both land-based and seaborne auxiliaries.

This is for the Greek flotillas

Others have to be found in various photos and documents I think, for example, there's a photo showing surrendered German and RSI ships in Italy after these vessels escaped from Yugoslavia, which include several MFPs, one boat of the 3rd G-flotilla, one hospital ship, one RSI mini-sub and other minor vessels. Several photos showing German delegate from Rhodes surrendered on KJ25, a captured British HDML etc. There must be some books but unfortunately I can't remember the names.
