Hooks...?

Was there at the (fictionary)book "Dust on the Sea" by Edward L. Beach something like that?

I saw that film last week, not bad if you allow for the usual Hollywood Submarineitis. They really should watch Das Boote, depthcharges are so much more dramatic when you don't see them!

Any how I too noticed the 'Hooks' more like grapnels if you want to get technical, total BS.

PS yes they did use Grapnels from aircraft in WWI, and the KM used them in WWII as well. They might not have been much use for taking out other aircraft; but they were very handy for ripping the aerials of merchant ships about to be snapped up by raiders.
