Hey
Great pics! I was thinking about visiting this castle in a couple of months time when I am in the area. Did you find it easy to get to? I'm not sure whether there is a train station in the local area so perhaps you hired a car to visit? The photo's were very atmospheric. I definitely want to see this place :)
Wel done :)

Hello DG !
The castle is certainly worth a visit indeed. If you are planning a visit, do not forget to visit the museum across the road next to the entrance as well. This building (outside the castle) shows for instance the SS history of the place.

Regarding your question about public transport, i have no answer to that since i didn't use that.
I live in the neighbouring country Holland, so it was only a few hours driving time for me.
The only thing i know is that they do have a good public transport system in Germany.

I wish you a nice trip !

Hans.

Just visited the castle(and the "Hermannsdenkmal" and "Externsteine")today. A 500km drive, great car, super food and weather.
