Battleship MASSACHUSETTS Drydocked

Postby JamesL on 04 Jul 2012 18:57

The State of Massachusetts awarded $10 million to dry-dock and seal the bottom of the battleship USS Massachusetts (museum in the water in Fall River), which has not been out of the water in over 50 years and is in danger of sinking.

Taxpayers will fund the award.

USS MASSACHUSETTS is known for shelling the French battleship JEAN BART during World War II.
