ANZAC Day

#1

Post by wenty » 22 Apr 2014, 05:22

Hi all,

This coming Friday, ANZAC Day will be upon us once again, and it is a day for reflection and remembrance of all those Australian & New Zealand soldiers who have died in battle throughout not just both the World War but all military conflicts.

Next year is particularly significant as it marks the 100th anniversary of the battle at Gallipoli, where much of the ANZAC legend comes from.

Even if you are not from a country which recognises ANZAC Day, I would like to suggest that we all partake in the traditional "minute of silence" at 11 AM on this day to remember the fallen.

Cheers,
Adam.
