Movement of 14th Division Spring 1932

The 14th Division was the last major unit sent during the 1st Shanghai Incident--but perhaps the first to return: can anyone clarify its departure from the Shanghai area, dates, ships, destination etc? Many thanks in advance.

On JACAR I could find only movement of 9th Division during the 1st Shanghai Incident.

Searchings on 第１４師団　and year 1932 (昭和７） are neither with results you look for.

Maybe somebody else with extra knowlegde about this division or JACAR will find it.

Shortly before the Shanghai Incident ended, 14th Division was sent to Manchuria. After several fights in Manchuria, it returned to Japan in May 1934. I don't know the details of its return, but it is usual to use train and ferry for transport between Manchuria and Japan.

Many thanks Piegziu and Taki. Taki from your information it is possible that the 14th never deployed to Shanghai but funtioned as a reserve. Piegzui can you access JACAR regarding the return of the 9th Division? when withdrew, what units and ships and to what desination? Many thanks.

Let me back up and apoligize for not getting it right. More imprtantly let me thank you for trying to assist me. When and how was the 14th Division and its components sent to Shanghai durring the First Incident. The movement of the 24th Mixed Brigade, and the 9th and 11th Divisions have been covered--but not the 14th--whose deployment and combat seems to have occurred after the March 3rd/4th cease fire order by Nomura. Negotiations continued into May and I assume the entire Expeditionary Corps stayed through the entire time. That's what prompted my interest and question as to how the units returned to Japan, and as Taki has now clarified to Manchuria also. Have a great week end everyone.
