Hi there,
does anyone has more information about the Type 98 Ho-Ki SPAAG.
Maybe someone has a link – or can recommend a book.
Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

You are confusing. There is no SPAAG such as Type 98 Ho-Ki.

There were following SPAAGs in IJA which would be relating to it.
Ki-To - mounting Type 98 20mm AA gun on Type 97 tankette
http://gunsight.jp/c/tank-3D%20aat-02.htm
Ta-Se - mounting modified Type 98 20mm AA gun (Ho-Ki II) on Type 98 light tank
Twin AA Gun Tank - mounting twin Type 2 20mm AA gun (So-Ki II) on Type 98 light tank
http://www3.plala.or.jp/takihome/Ta-Se.htm

They were all experimental and had no type designation.

Dear Taki,
thank you very much for clarification and I appreciate it you are answering my post. I've created over 100 articles on German Wikipedia about IJA and IJN and was about to write an article about IJA SPAAG's when I ran across this article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_98_20_mm_AAG_Tank
In this article they write about "Type 98 Ho-Ki" as well on the following websites:
http://worldwartwodatabase.warsforum.co ... e-98-ho-ki
http://www.rumaniamilitary.ro/blindate-japoneze-3

Thank you again for your help.

Those must be repeated errors from a source because Ho-Ki is the designation of the Type 1 APC

Taki san,
if I look at the japanese Wiki-articles concerning IJA SPAAGS, do I link them correctly?

Ki-To - mounting Type 98 20mm AA gun on Type 97 tankette
is http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_タセ

Ta-Se - mounting modified Type 98 20mm AA gun (Ho-Ki II) on Type 98 light tank
I can't find the related japanese Wiki-article. Can you help me with this and post the link.

Twin AA Gun Tank - mounting twin Type 2 20mm AA gun (So-Ki II) on Type 98 light tank
is http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_ソキ

And what SPAAG is this? https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_タハ

Taki, sorry if I may be wrong with some links – I use Google-Translate to understand the japanese websites and articles and sometimes I may won't get the correct understanding.

Thank you for your help.

No, it is Ta-Se. The article about Ki-To in Wiki is below.
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%85%A8 ... D%E3%83%88

> Ta-Se - mounting modified Type 98 20mm AA gun (Ho-Ki II) on Type 98 light tank

It is http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_タセ.

is http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_ソキ

Yes. But, in this article, it is questionable that the vehicle was called So-Ki Sha(vehicle). So-Ki was the name of gun.

> And what SPAAG is this? https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/試製対空戦車_タハ

It is SPAAG mounting twin 37mm AA gun on Type 1 Medium Tank Chi-He. Ta-Ha has not completed. So, real vehicle did not exist. I upload a photo (right bottom corner) of the model of Ta-Ha which was realized from the plans of Ta-Ha.
