Re: Yokosuka 2nd SNLF
is it correct that the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF reformed in June 1943 and was stationed at Nauru Island?

Re: Yokosuka 2nd SNLF
Hi everyone,
if the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF wasn't a Paratrooper unit I assume they were regular SNLF, trained for amphibious landing. In the internet you can find images showing IJN Paratroopers on board a ship, seemingly to be getting prepared for an attack. Most of the captions indicate this is the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF, see image attached.
So my questions are:
1.) Is the unit shown on the image the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF?
2.) If it's the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF, what's the date of the image and caption?
3.) If it's not the Yokosuka 2nd SNLF, which unit is this?
Thanks for your help guys,
Cheers,

No, they were paratroopers from Yokosuka 1st SNLF. After Menado, Yokosuka 1st SNLF captured islands of Lesser Sunda. This photo was taken before landing on Sumbawa on May 11th, 1947. Note that they did not carry out paradrop operation on Lesser Sunda. They landed from sea.
