I apologize. So the correct answer is that the Type 100, Type 1 are both adjustable? Type 3 still unknown.

Type 100 and Type 1 are basically the same vehicle. Only Type 1 had wheels adjustable for 1,000mm gauge. They are both adjustable to multi-gauge.

There is no detailed information about Type 3. It would be only on paper.

That clears it up.

One more question. These two photos are of an Isuzu 4x4 and Isuzu 6x6. Both are power by a 5.1l Isuzu Diesel DA43. What are their formal names, e.g. TX40, TU23?

According to the monograph of these photos, the left one is Type 2 4x4 Truck and the right one is Type 2(3?) 6x6 Truck.

Isuzu developed three models of Type 2 4x4 as TC10, TC20 and TC30 and Type 2 6x6 as TG10 in 1942. But, there is little information about these trucks and it is not sure that these photos are really on Type 2.

Many thanks to all of you for correcting my bad identification of the railroad trucks.

This is probably another reason for me to stay with things I know a bit about rather than passing on items I picked up on the Web, relying on the accuracy of the original poster/s that are not within the scope of my primary research.

Anyway, here are a few more examples, this time in occupied countries. Plus a Mercedes in Japan

Good posts Bill, you've got a nice variety there.

Here are two different 6 wheeled trucks. I think 1&3 are the same model. Any idea on the manufacturer? Isuzu, Tokyo Gas-Electric?

I think you are right, however the 6 wheeled trucks have rectangular windows. I think all models of the ford have a curved bottom.

A Nissan 180. The ebay seller did not provide any information and it is too difficult to read the writing. This might be post-war.
