Let me confess my confusion right off.
Am I correct that on the 8th there was intermittent fighting at Wanping from 0500 hours to 1900 hours?
That also on the 8th the movement of additional Japanese troops into Beijing was rejected --but without fighting?
Tianjin air field was occuppied on the 11th or 12th by units of Garrison Army? or troops from the Kwantung Army? If Kwantung Army then what units? Air Force Companies? Sakai Brigade? Suzuki Brigade?
Was the 20th Division move from Korea via train to Tianjin beginning on July 16th and completing on July 19th the only reinforcements of the Garrisonn Army till July 24th. (Not counting Air Force advanced to Tianjin air field.)

I think that the conflict ceased earlier than that time, but yes.
> That also on the 8th the movement of additional Japanese troops into Beijing was rejected --but without fighting?
There was no additional troops. I think that they came from Wanping.

I don't know when and who occupied it, but there were no troops from the Kwantung Army at Tianjin.

Hello Jerry,
The 16th Rentai, 1st daitai (Miwa Unit) operated its two chuutai of Ki.10 fighters from Tianjin in mid July, 1937. Soon after the Miwa Unit was joined there by all 70 of the Ki.10 fighters mobilized to participate in the 'China Incident'. If you have any further interest, see my posting at: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5&t=177929
