Fontessa,

I recently got the Section 22 fixes of four Ryukus chain radar stations from March 1945 --

1. OKINO DAITO JIMA (24°28'N 131°11'E)
Radar fix frequency; 92 mcs (Mhz) possible"

2. CHIAM ZAKI, OKINAWA JIMA (26°04'N 127°41'E)
Radar fix frequency; 153 mcs (Mhz) possible."

3. HEDO ZAKI, OKINAWA JIMA. (26°53'N 128°15'E)
Radar fix frequency: 102 mcs possible

4. MIYAKO JIMA (24°47'N 125°17'E)
Radar fix frequency: 110 mcs possible .

Basically the American naval intelligence report from Photo Interpretation Squadron Two that MacArthur's Section 22 is quoting from could not locate buildings at either Okinawa site, so it identified the nearest buildings as possible radar sites.
