By August 9, 1945 to the 51st Escort Squadron at Maizuru were assigned 2 submarines. The first submarine was Ro-500. What was the second?

Thank you very much Wellgunde!

By August, 1945 to the 51st Escort Squadron also were assigned 13 patrol craft for training missions with submarines. What were the types and names of these ships?

The 51st Squadron was formed May 5, 1945 for the purpose of anti-submarine warfare training. The commander was Rear Admiral Nishioka Shigeru (reading?). Nishioka's immediate superior was the Commander-in-Chief of the Maizuru Naval District.

Besides the two submarines, the following coast defense vessels were assigned to the 51st:
Hodaka, Io, Ito, Takane, Habuto (reading?) No. 75, No. 79, No. 87, No. 124, No. 156, No. 158, No. 200, and No. 225

This is something of a best guess. The records at the end of the war are confusing as there were many transfers in and out of the squadron in the final days of the war.

Thank you, ijnfleetadmiral

Impressive Nishioka bio. Do you have a source for the 51st Squadron OB? The composition you give differs from the one that the Japanese provided to the Allied Powers at the time of the surrender.
