Japanese Ivory Knife handle Question

#1

Post by jpage » 18 Jul 2014, 20:27

This carved ivory or bone knife handle was recovered by My Grandfather on Guadalcanal along with a T14 and T38. Does anybody know what type of knife this would have been used for, value, type of blade etc ? There are dried blood stains on the handle, perhaps used for ritual suicide ? Thanks Jim
